Present: Bill Ketchum, Gary Trelstad, Cathy Skogen, Paul Blaisdell, Bryce Lange, Tina Kozisek, Mark Barwald, Angie Jarrett, AJ Gengler, others.

The City Council approved the following items:

  • Minutes and accounts payable as presented;
  • Have staff put together a trial proposal for allowing chickens within City limits;
  • Authorize staff to give approval for Music on Main without having to bring it to Council each time;
  • Authorize the City Administrator to begin advertising for open positions as long as they are existing positions;
  • Authorize the City Administrator and the Mayor to come up with an incentive plan for hiring ambulance staff, and look at something for existing staff;
  • Applying for the Dodge County SHIP Grant and the City’s contribution of $486.12 to purchase a bicycle pump and bike rack for one of the parks in town, to be determined at a later date;
  • Park Board recommendations of a $25 entrance fee for the Dodger Days BBQ contest and using 75% of the proceeds as prize money;
  • Food trucks during Dodger Days and waive the permit fees, as long as they have the required state licensing;
  • Travel expenses of $1,735 for AJ Gengler to attend the EMS World Expo in Florida in October 2022;
  • $2,500 donation to Triton Community Education for summer programming;
  • Resolution 2022-008, A Resolution Designating a Newspaper for all Official Public Notices;
  • Resolution 2022-016, A Resolution Adopting Dodge County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan;
  • Resolution 2022-017, A Resolution Approving State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements with the City of Dodge Center on Behalf of its City Attorney and Police Department;
  • Resolution 2022-018, A Resolution Supporting the Dodge County Redistricting Proposal;
  • Resolution 2022-019, A Resolution Appointing Election Judges for the Primary Election to be Held May 24, 2022;
  • Resolution 2022-020, A Resolution Establishing a General Fund Reserve Policy;
  • Resolution 2022-021, A Resolution Accepting the City of Dodge Center’s 2021 Audit;
  • Covering the cost of grounding for the installation of water meters.
