2023-2024 Triton Girls Basketball

The 2023-2024 season was a year to remember for the Triton Girls Basketball program. Throughout the season the 2023-2024 team broke eight program records, and one individual Triton High School record. First and foremost the total of 17 victories bested the previous record of 16 victories set by the 1999-2000 Triton Girls Basketball team. These victories were fueled by a new found confidence and belief in the team as a whole. It is easy to see that the records that were broken played a role in setting the single season record for victories.

The Cobras set a new single game record with 87 points scored on December 7th, 2024 against Lewiston-Altura. This broke the previous record of 81 points scored against Schaeffer Academy on November 26th, 2019.

On February 13th, 2024 the Cobras recorded 19 offensive rebounds against Cannon Falls, breaking the previous record of 17 offensive rebounds against JWP on January 28th, 2020.

Triton set a new single game record for assists on January 26th, 2024 with 28 assists against Medford. This broke the previous record of 26 assists against Schaeffer Academy on November 26th, 2019.

On January 27th, 2024 the Cobras set the single game record for steals with 25 steals against St. Charles. This broke the previous record of 24 steals against Bethlehem Academy on February 7th, 2023.

The Lady Cobras set the single season record for points scored with 1,641 total points. This broke the previous record of 1,521 points which was set during the 2019-2020 season.

In addition to points scored the Cobras set the single season record for 3 pointers made in a single season with 196 total makes. This broke the previous record of 172 3 pointers made in the 2021-2022 season.

The Cobras also set defensive records as they recorded 382 steals, breaking the previous record of 309 steals in a single season.

Triton freshman Reagan Essig also set the single season record with 61 3-pointers made, breaking the previous record of 56 3-pointers made set by Brylee Iverson during the 2021-2022 season.
