Barbara Ann Meyer, 85, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.
Barbara was born on July 26, 1938, in Hayfield, MN to Bert and Violet (Hegna) Beaver. She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville high school in 1956. She worked as a Dietary Aid at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN and later at Waters Instruments in Rochester, MN. She married Eugene Meyer on March 4, 1967. They were married for almost 50 years. She loved volunteering and playing bingo. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson, MN. She will be deeply missed.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Judy (David) Bollum of Rochester, MN; brother, Darrell (Jean) Beaver of Ellendale, MN, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eugene Meyer.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 301 8th Ave NW in Kasson, MN with Pastor Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson, MN.
