The Triton Cobra Volleyball team gained momentum last season with an overall record of 22-7. Our conference record was 9-1 and we tied for the Gopher Conference Championship with Kenyon and WEM. We had a deep bench and competitive practices with all players contributing to our best conference record since joining the Gopher Conference in 2021. The Gopher Conference Trophy (in the picture) is a traveling trophy which will be displayed in the Triton Activities trophy case for the next few months.
Gopher All-Conference honors were awarded to senior-Nola Behne, junior-Reagan Essig, and sophomore-Elliot Wirkus. Junior-Aidree Van Beek was All-Conference Honorable Mention and senior-Addison Oakland received the Gopher Conference Sportsmanship award.
Additional highlights of the season include winning the Silver Division of the Jackson County Central tournament and earning a 3rd place finish in the Silver Division of the Twin Cities Challenge in Burnsville defeating a AAA Team (Minneapolis Roosevelt) and AAAA Team (Minneapolis Washburn).
We were ranked 5th in Section 1AA, defeated Randolph at home in the first round of the playoffs, and then lost to Winona Cotter in a 4 set match at the Civic Center.
