Steven Francis Elton, 60, of Dodge Center, formerly of Kasson, MN passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Steve was born in Kankakee, IL and built a life in Kasson, MN with his wife, Danita, and their three children. Steve worked at the Federal Medical Center - Rochester. Following retirement, Steve never stopped working. Steve found enjoyment in working on engines; most recently small engines at Earl’s Small Engine Repair in Byron, MN. Steve’s work ethic was instilled in him through his time serving in the U.S. Marines. Aside from work, Steve enjoyed spending time with his friends and his family; especially his grandkids. Steve was a member of the Blue Knights and loved riding his Harley. Steve loved fiercely and was willing to help anyone.

Steve’s life plan altered when Danita passed away in 2022. Steve was able to find life after loss in his companionship with Susan Himle, of Zumbrota. Steve’s passion for life and for people will live on in all those who knew him; if even for a moment.

Steve is survived by his three children; Amber (Aaron) Beissel, Brianna (Kyle) Johnson, Cristina (Lucas) Nienow and his five grandchildren. Along with his mother, Myrna Elton, brother Donald (Nilah) Coleman, and step- sister Victoria Zafft; and many friends who were truly his family. He is preceded in death by his wife; Danita Elton. Along with his father, Gerald Elton, and brothers, Ernest, Russel, Roger, Dale and Terry, and other loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Toys for Tots.
