The School District's Spelling Bee was held on January 18th at Triton Middle School and 15 talented students participated. After several rounds, Averie Locke took first place, Rory Ginder placed second, and Kenzie Van Beek was the runner-up. Averie Locke and Rory Ginder advanced to the Southeast Service Cooperative Regional Spelling Bee to compete against other top spellers in the region. They studied words and practiced spelling with great enthusiasm in preparation for the regional competition on February 7th. The competition was intense. Averie and Rory put in their best effort during each advancing round. Unfortunately, they did not advance to the final regional bee on February 21, yet they should still be proud of their achievements and hard work. They represented the school district beautifully.
