Randall Cedric Trapp, 78, of Rural Dodge Center, MN passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Mayo Clinic St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN.
Randall was born on April 20, 1945, in Rochester, MN to Ralph and Dorothy (Benedix) Trapp. While attending school he played Cornet in the band. He graduated from Kasson-Mantorville high school in 1963. After school he was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving from 1966-1968 stationed in Germany. He farmed all of his life with his brother, Daniel, in Dodge Center, MN. He was a member of Pleasant Corners United Methodist Church. He enjoyed listening to HAM Radio and flying kites.
Randall is survived by his siblings, Daniel Trapp of Dodge Center, MN, Brenda Scheller of Kasson, MN, and Les (Donna) Trapp of East Gull Lake, MN, and four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bart Trapp; sister-in-law, Peggy Trapp (Les’s wife) and brother-in-law, Donald Scheller.
A memorial service will be held on 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Pleasant Corners United Methodist Church, 21927 650th Street Kasson, MN with Pastor Jacob Hanson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE Kasson, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.
