Quilts of Valor Ceremony for Veterans

Saturday November 11th the Dodge Center American Legion hosted sixteen local Veterans awarding them each a quilt of valor. These quilts are handmade by volunteers all over the United States and each one is unique. Since 2003 over 300,000 of these quilts have been made and donated to service members and veterans all over the country.

The event began with a meal provided by the Dodge Center American Legion and Dodge County Veteran Services director Brandon Servantez spoke to the group about the benefits available to service members in Dodge County.

Each veteran honored was introduced with their date and branch of service before handing out their quilt.
