Huckleberry Floral Design and Gifts

Posted

Cruising Main Street in Dodge Center, you can't help but notice a beautiful outdoor display at 25 W. Main. Owner Mindy Hedberg showcases her artistic talents inside and outside of Huckleberry.

Well, my curiosity got the best of me, so I dropped in to see what else was inside. This being a week of Proms, weddings and a funeral, Mindy was out delivering her craft, so I was able to chat with Leah about the store. Right off the bat, I noticed Louie Maccini's sliced agate night lights, made right down the street, so I asked about some of the other artisan goods in the store. "We like to support local talent" was one of the first things Leah said. Since I love the support local idea in any way, shape or form, that definitely piqued my interest. The store is filled with local creations, so I will call attention to a few, and you'll have to stop in and see the rest for yourself. Tell the girls Cheri sent you!

Being a floral shop, of course there were fresh flowers all over the place. Some were in coolers, waiting to be made into beautiful arrangements, some already showcased and for sale. There were fairy gardens, dried arrangements, and green plants, ready to go. There are teddy bears, socks, soy candles, and statues. On the shelves and walls are 3-D floral bouquets, baskets and handcrafted soaps. Costa's Chocolates from Owatonna has a delightful assortment of candies on display.

Mindy & crew design floral arrangements for weddings, proms, funerals and special occasions like Mother's Day (May 14), birthdays and anniversaries. Or how about a beautiful bouquet for yourself to brighten your surroundings after a long winter? Whatever the reason, Huckleberry is the place to go for gifts and flowers to make you smile!
