Present: Mayor Bill Ketchum, Gary Trelstad, Cathy Skogen, Paul Blaisdell, Braedon Dostal, Lee Mattson, John Fox, Mark Barwald, Vanessa Hines, Tim Woessner, Dave Kenworthy, Guy Kohlenhoffer, Meredith Brose, Deputy Tyler Breuer and Kathy Freeman.
Absent:
City Council approved the following items:
• Amended Agenda to include item 5.5 – 6th Ave NW Culvert and amended consent agenda to include: Interest payment of $3,187 to MBT Bank, Minutes from June 23, 2025 Council Meeting, June 10, 2025 HRA Board Meeting, Hiring of Nora Jorgenson – Paid-On-Call EMT, Miley Dostal and Crystal Heim – Paid-On-Call EMR’s, and Payment of Bills as amended;
• Proceed with abatement of 18 1st Ave NE;
• Resolution 2025-022 – A Resolution Applying for Acquisition of Tax Forfeited Property at 501 1st St SW;
• Retain statutory limits on municipal tort liability established by Minn.Stat.§ 466.04;
• Promotion of Orion Forthun to Supervisor at a rate of $31.72/hour effective immediately;
• Increase of $125 per pay period for an employee holding a Biosolids Applicator license;
• Increase of $25 per pay period for an employee holding a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license;
• Relocation of communication equipment located in a shed next to the SE water tower into the water tower;
• Request to close Central Ave S on August 5th during the National Night Out event.
