Adeline Doris Schletty

Adeline Doris Schletty, 83, of West Concord, passed away peacefully as the result of complications from a stroke on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She was born April 14, 1940, the daughter of Wilhelm and Theresa (Napp) Dohrmann. She attended country school in the communities of West Concord and Pine Island. She graduated from West Concord High School, Class of 1958. Following her high school graduation, she began working in the labs at St. Marys Hospital.

On June 28, 1959, she married Rollie, “that Schletty boy” she was warned to stay away from. They made their home in the West Concord area where they raised five children. While busy raising an active family, Adeline held down several different jobs including: childcare, waitressing, bar tending and housekeeping all while fostering her passions of cooking, sewing and bringing help to others. Adeline was an active member of Concord Church of Christ participating in many committees, assisting with VBS, serving on the board and tending to the needs of others as she always did. In addition to all this, Adeline served her community actively participating in Concord Cemetery Board, Historical Society, Boy Scouts, 4-H, county fairs, the American Legion, bowling and camping.

She is survived by her children, Tamera Laqua of Dodge Center, Zane (and Darla) Schletty of West Concord, Kimber Schletty of Rochester, Brett Schletty of Nebraska and Erika (and Leroy) Wohlfiel of Mantorville; 9 grandchildren, Travis Schletty, Trenton Laqua, Courtney Schletty, Cody Schletty, Gareth Tlougan, Logon Onken, Taryn Wohlfiel, Drew Wohlfiel and Jace Wohlfiel; lovely great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Schutz of Pine Island and sisters-in-law, Donna Dohrmann of Kasson and Carol Mundy of Dodge Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Theresa; husband, Rollie Schletty (2013); sisters, Gladys and June; brothers, William, Robert and Royce; granddaughter, Tricia Laqua and grandson, Dallas Laqua.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Concord Church of Christ in Concord, MN, followed by burial in Concord Cemetery and a visitation/celebration of life at the American Legion in West Concord from 12:00-3:00 PM.
